PROFILE

Pete Dyos started playing Super League darts in the London area before moving to Cambridgeshire where he made the step up to County darts level.

Still seeking progression, he joined Cambridgeshire where he was to compete in the British Inter Counties Championship Premier Division in the Mens' A team alongside star players such as Martin Adams, Dennis Harbour and Steve Roberts, who have all graced the stage at the BDO Lakeside World Championships.

Pete struck up a good friendship with Dave Chisnall, and practicing with him inspired him to make the most of his own darting ability.

After success at County level including numerous match awards and qualification for national tournaments through Cambridgeshire, in 2013, Pete decided to try his hand at the professional game.

At Q-School in 2013, he was unsuccessful but played a handful of PDC Pro Tour events to gain more experience.

This experience, plus practice, paid off in January 2014 where Pete won through the Q-School to be given one of only 128 PDC Pro Tour cards for the next two years.

In his time on the Pro Tour, Pete has taken a number of scalps of top ranked players, as well as qualifying for the 2013 UK Open and two European Tour events in Gibraltar and Germany.
